Dear Justin,

Where do I begin this thank you letter? It is impossible to convey the gratitude felt by myself, the housing group staff and especially all of our clients whose lives have been touched your kindness and the kindness of your students and their families. However, I will give it a try!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the amazing and beautiful food baskets for both Thanksgiving and Christmas! Each basket was like an elaborately wrapped gift filled with great food, gift cards and often extra decorations, little gifts and holiday cards. Not only did our clients receive a holiday meal but they were shown that there are others in the community who truly care about them.    The generosity your students and their families have shown is one of the highlights of my time working here at the shelter and I felt fortunate to be the messenger giving out those lovely baskets.

This past Thanksgiving we gave out 160 food baskets, half of which came from Amerikick families. Last year we only gave out 95 food baskets. Without your assistance, we would not have been able to help these additional families. In the past we have not given out food baskets in December, but with your help over 70 families enjoyed a delicious holiday dinner. The demand for food assistance continues to grow each month in our food pantry. In 2006 we served over 11,000 individuals. This is a 72% increase over last year! Although we have this increase in demand, our state and federal food assistance has remained the same. We are grateful that Amerikick families have helped us meet this increased demand for food assistance.

Thank you also, for the donation of toys for our Community Toy day. Over 100 families were able to receive gifts from this event and I'm sure there were many happy children this holiday season because of your generosity!

It is only through community support that the Bucks County Housing Group can continue to work on behalf of others in need. Thank you for being an integral part of this support network and truly making a difference in the loves of others.

Sincerely,

Karen Houser Volunteer Coordinator

January 2, 2007

Dear Justin & Desiree

I wanted to thank you both for having the compassion to help out those few families we had to turn away on our Community Toy Day in December. It was so kind of you to shop for those families and deliver all those gifts for these children. I had such fun calling those families and hearing the surprise in their voices when I told them we had toys for their children! They were so excited to receive those last minute gifts when they were sure they would have little to give their children for Christmas.

I would also like to personally thank you, Justin, for educating and inspiring your Amerikick families to have a heart for community service. You have definitely helped many families in need in our community have a wonderful holiday season which I am sure will lift them up all through the year.

Sincerely,

Karen Houser Volunteer Coordinator

On Friday, December 8th 2006, Amerikick  presented a check in the amount of $13,000 to the Children's Hospital of Pennsylvania. The participating Amerikick studios raised the proceeds through a variety of ways including kick-a-thons, break-a-thons, private donations and fund raisers. Many Amerikick studios donated part of their retail revenues to help raise money to benefit Children's Hospital.

Special recognition goes to the top earning Amerikick locations. Sensei Justin Smith and his students of Amerikick Langhorne raised over $4000. Sensei Mark Gallagher of Amerikick Bustleton raised over $3000. Both Sensei's will be at the check presentation along with Amerikick president and vice president Dennis Tosten, Sharon Tosten and Mark Russo.

AMERIKICK AT THE GLOBETROTTERS

Team Langhorne Performs at Wachovia Center on March 12 as crowds gather.

An enthusiastic crowd cheered as they watched the exciting demonstrations being performed by the AmeriKick teams at the spotlight stages in the Wachovia center.  Over 1000 AmeriKick students and their families attended this event, making us the largest supporting group in Globetrotter history.

Even more exciting was the half-time show featuring AmeriKick Delran with the professional and awe inspiring choreography of Sensei Nick Perdunn.  The court was full of AmeriKick team members showing off their vertical kicks, power punches and perfectly synchronized teamwork.

The AmeriKick National Team followed, performing astounding flips and kicks, along with lightening quick hand patterns, for the thousands of spectators.

The Globetrotters put on a great family show with amazing basketball skills and lots of humor.  We look forward to the next event!
